Key Responsibilities

Manages Regional deployment of air freight products & sea freight products and designs common products with other Noatum Logistics offices for the development of core tradelines, including joint purchasing of space (BSA) and Service Contracts.

Ensures all product related Regional policies and procedures are implemented effectively.

Participates in Noatum Logistics Global Product groups focused on airfreight and ocean freight and other relevant areas.

Reporting to the MD of the Region and dotted line to the Global Head of Airfreight & Global Head of Ocean freight

Procurement

Supports on the design and roll out of global procurement strategy for the company’s-controlled air freight business and ocean freight business to leverage the regional volume.

Manages supplier relationships and negotiations with airlines and shipping lines in the Region to develop strategic partnerships.

Ensures clear visibility, communication and execution of agreed partners strategy and volume steering.

Explores and develop opportunities for digital integration with partners to drive productivity efficiencies.

Escalation point for critical carrier service/pricing issues.

Product development

Develops new, and expand existing, air and ocean products to support growth strategy including specific product development (perishable, reefer, BSA, AOG, time critical, chartering, etc)

Defines product guidelines and governance and ensure implementation through the Region.

Market intelligence to the organization to support strategic decision making processes.

Promotes internally the airfreight and ocean freight product.

Operational excellence

Works together with the Operations Leader in the Region or/and the Branch Managers to sets up and maintain internal KPIs to measure the product performance and data quality and initiate corrective actions when needed.

Identifies and solve problems, both internal and external, to get the job done effectively

Commercial Development

Works closely with commercial team to build and develop airfreight and ocean freight products and best commercial strategies and plans, aligning with Pricing department to promote products through commercial campaigns with agents and customers.

Engages with and support key customer development, including RFQ pricing and direct customer engagement for key clients. In some Regions, leads the CT to give guidelines on selling rates for some import trade lanes operating under specific airlines BSAs.

Participates in internal and external airfreight communications together with sales and marketing teams.

In some regions, participates actively in the development of agent’s business together with the agents pricing team and BDM.

Required Qualification

A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as supply chain management, logistics or business administration

Excellent English. Arabic is an added advantage

A minimum of 12 years of experience in a similar role
