Your new role, what's involved?

I develop MEP engineering design concepts, strategic plans, and feasibility studies of district cooling plants and develop technical solutions for complex challenges.

I perform process and MEP detailed design of district cooling plants, including design drawings, specifications, and reports.

I undertake technical reviews on infrastructure chilled water networks, hydraulic modelling, stress analysis, water treatment, ETS systems design, and control systems requirements of district cooling plants.

I understand energy modelling engineering, and develop DCPs cooling demand profiles, and different systems of thermal energy storage engineering.

I am familiar with international and local codes and standards relevant to district cooling plants, technical and non-technical requirements of stakeholders, scope of work, RFPs, cost plans and compliance with master planners’ requirements.

I develop ETS guidelines including technical requirements, specifications, scope demarcation, and control diagrams.

I perform value engineering, third party review, material submittals review, and apply sustainability requirements.

I am a key point of contact on projects, comfortable directly engaging with clients and delivering presentations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

I Supervise the MEP design team, fostering innovation and ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions.

I have an experience in drafting the framework models, and exposure in bid evaluation, and technical/commercial correspondence.

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering; master’s degree is a plus.

Minimum +15 years post-qualification experience with broad district cooling plant design experience on large-scale projects.

Knowledge of analytical/design software such as Revit, IES and HAP software.

Membership of a recognized professional body (CIBSE, IMechE or ASHRAE) is desirable but not essential.

Proven leadership experience with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.

Strong business development acumen with a track record of successful client engagement.

Knowledge of MEP systems design of building services is a plus.

Experience working in the GCC region is highly desirable.
