Key Accountability Areas

Champion and promote a strong safety culture in the company and serve as a subject matter expert.

Lead all HSE operations to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and corporate safety policies, work processes, and standards

Develop comprehensive and detailed hazard identification and risks assessment program for Facility Management and Building Operations

Lead, facilitate, or participate in plant incident investigations to determine root causes of incidents, especially those that are considered regulatory in nature.

Prepare Risk Register and Method Statements and oversee their issuance and strict implementation

Provide training to plant personnel regarding the process safety program, regulatory procedures and requirements, as well as hazard recognition.

Identify and assess risks related to the integrity of Building Critical systems and Essential Services and establish Control measures for risk elimination, prevention, and control in event of their potential failure

Conduct Fire Drills in-line with DCD requirements

Conduct EHS induction training for Employees, Contractors’ personnel and visitors regarding safe working practices and to develop safety consciousness.

To ensure that every employee is informed and trained to perform their job in a productive and safe way in accordance with company policies and procedures.

To ensure that authorized programs of accident prevention, and emergency evacuation are in place.

To maintain a safe and productive working environment by conducting appropriate safety, corrective action, job hazard, and environmental inspections on a regular basis.

To ensure that accident investigations are conducted, when appropriate, in accordance with company policies and procedures, under the direction of the Facility Management department.

To continuously provide specialist advice and education on safety matters to staff members.

To promote a positive HSE attitude amongst project employees using an authorized scheme of incentives and deterrents.

Responsible for overall Safety and Environment matters in related issues within company premise; risk management.

Identify and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices and develop in line with the organization, EHS control practices and programs. Reports hazards, unsafe acts or conditions or any EHS concerns to direct Manager.

Carry out daily safety checks, notify immediately risk hazardous, give recommendations to correct it.

Maintain, develop, perform and measure results of training for staff relating to Environment, Health and Safety.

Follow up on quality criteria, checking method, reply and respond to internal and external audits and inspections.

To ensure all activities relating to safety and the environment in the company work well and avoid risk of accident during working.

Ensure that all Company EHS policies and practices are proactively implemented and supported.

Review plans and specifications for new machinery and equipment to make sure they meet safety requirements.

Identify and correct potential hazards by inspecting facilities, machinery, and safety equipment.

Ensure that a building or product complies with health and safety regulations, especially after an inspection that required changes.

Able to manage, direct and implement HSE procedures to include: Fire safety, incident investigation, reporting, occupational health, first aid training, able to conduct weekly safety meeting, hazard control etc.

Responsible for the health and safety by making sure risks in the workplace are properly controlled.

Ensure the team complies with all aspects of Health and Safety laws.

Ensure workers are provided with suitable protective equipment.

Develop Health and safety working programs and strategies.

Ensure site OHS and Company QA systems are implemented and maintained.

Any other ad hoc administrative duty assigned by the Line Manager.

Education & Qualifications

Bachelor of Engineering / Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or Equivalent.

Additional Mandatory Qualification in Quality, Environment, Health and Safety Management such as NEBOSH or equivalent.

Well versed in ISO 45001, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 or equivalent QHSE Systems.
