Responsibilities

Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and subject matter experts to understand the technical aspects of our products and services.

Develop comprehensive, clear and concise documentation, including user guides, admin guides, API documentation, release notes, and technical specifications, to help users understand and effectively utilize our products and services.

Ensure that documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with the latest product features and updates, working closely with product management and development teams.

Develop and maintain documentation standards, templates, and style guides to ensure consistency and quality across all product documentation. Contribute to the development of documentation strategies, processes, and tools to enhance efficiency and quality.

Conduct research, gather requirements, and interview stakeholders to obtain a deep understanding of the products and their intended use cases and to ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation.

Edit and proofread documentation to ensure accuracy, clarity, and completeness.

Work with cross-functional teams to gather feedback and incorporate user input into documentation improvements, continuously enhancing the usability and effectiveness of our documentation.

Lead the documentation review process and incorporate feedback from internal and external stakeholders. Continuously update and improve existing documentation to reflect product changes, enhancements, and new features.

Assist in creating training materials and other educational resources to support product adoption and onboarding for customers and internal teams.

Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in cloud computing and technical writing, continuously improving skills and knowledge.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Communications, English, Computer Science, or a related field.

Minimum 3 years of proven experience as a technical writer, preferably in the software or cloud computing industry.

Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and technologies, such as Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS).

Excellent writing, proofreading, and editing skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in clear and concise language for a diverse audience.

Proficiency with documentation tools and software, such as Markdown, XML, Adobe FrameMaker, Microsoft Word, and version control systems like Git and content management systems (CMS).

Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, able to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile environment, adapting quickly to changing priorities and requirements.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Relevant industry certifications are highly desirable.

Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
