Works closely with Center of Excellence Leadership in driving financial management of the unit to run day to day business, consolidate and report Advanced Analytics Center of Excellence use-progress, and support leadership through well informed decisions based on financial analyses

Own and steer budgets & financial planning, leading discussions with technology, businesses, HR to determine the yearly budget (headcount and cost, tooling, infra etc.) for Advanced Analytics Center of Excellence

Lead process to recommend and implement best practices around CoE related cost capture, opex/capex allocation methodology to businesses basis use-case delivery, indirect cost recharges and cost discipline within the CoE

Provide day-to-day financial support to CoE (cost allocation, actual spend, reporting, etc.)

Drive monthly and quarterly follow-up with key stakeholders to ensure robust and accurate financial forecasts (opex & capex)

Seek opportunities and proactively monitor the financial performance and initiate actions to constantly drive efficiency and cost consciousness

Work with CoE leads and Product Owners (POs) :

To assist in opportunity sizing to help assess use-case feasibility

To analytically review business case build, basis evolving use-case results

Review overall tracking mechanism agreed for AA impact quantification for individual use-cases :

Define standards and processes to be applied across use-cases when creating and tracking KPIs

Ensure consistent impact calculation methodologies across use-cases, including analytical review of synthetic control model outputs

Work closely with Business Finance Managers (BFMs) to align on use-case impact with businesses, as required

Liaise with internal teams as needed, to ensure consistent finance data collection and analysis for each initiative

Consolidate impact across use-cases and periodically provide insights on the overall results/ benefits of the Advanced Analytics Center of Excellence program

Work with CoE leaders, in providing fact-based decision support for strategic direction and achievement of short and long-term goals

Duties and responsibilities:

Drive Performance Management through a robust challenge & review process across actual performance, forecasts and budgets

Add value to the strategic direction by driving the multi year planning, annual budgeting and continuous forecasting process by adopting best practice performance management techniques and KPIs, in support of Head of Business Performance, Group Financial Controller and Group CFO

Add value to the strategic direction of AA CoE by providing guidance, support and challenging their vision and aspirations, particularly on performance

Drive the team by guiding, supporting and challenging, with a proactive forward thinking outlook

Responsible for ensuring adherence to management accounting policies

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Technology or Finance & Accounting. Data Analysts with MBA finance, CA/ACA qualification is preferred

Experience, knowledge and skills:

Minimum of 8-10 years of post qualification experience

Should have worked in a Banking setup

Should have exposure to Management Accounting, Financial Accounting and Budgeting & Forecasting exercise

Should have managed a team of people

Experience in Data analysis & Statistical modelling with business knowledge across banking products is preferred

Experience in driving finance function for technology start ups

Good understanding of accounting, management reporting and business performance measurement tools

Excellence with MS Office Applications

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, senior business and finance stakeholders
