Responsibilities

Role Details – Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Financial Control & Management:

Direct the predefined development expenditure and Fixed Assets related internal controls and recommend improvements accordingly across all countries and regions.

Assist Finance Manager in assessing, communicating, and managing all financial risks within the AMBU Finance “Hotels”.

Implement processes to ensure regular balance sheet, P&L and cash flow reviews are carried out as well as timely reconciliation of all cash, bank and intercompany balances, down to single asset level.

Ensure that GS project team capitalized all the projects in a timely manner and maintain consistent with IFRS and company policy and procedures.

Ensure processes and capability to produce and deliver timely and accurate statutory accounts that reflect the financial position of the HBU.

Ensure timely implementation of internal and external audit recommendations in all locations. Use technology as an enabler and lead Systems implementation and improvements initiatives from both an IT and financial perspective.

Execute reliable and efficient control systems that seek to prevent fraud and ensure appropriate controls are in place throughout the HBU.

Financial Reporting And Transaction Processing

Assists the Finance Manager for HBU’s financial reporting policy and guidelines to the projects, joint ventures, operating assets, and the head office of the HBU.

Provide hotel operational, financial, and accounting support to the Hotel Asset Management department.

Ensure timely physical asset verification at the hotels.

Work closely with Global solution team to reconcile balance sheet and Fixed Asset Register.

Compliance

Ensure compliance with all local and corporate laws, rules, and regulations and MAFP’s and HBU’s Finance Policies & Procedures.

Custodianship of all books and records of company transactions and assets at the projects, joint ventures, operating assets, and the head office level.

Liaise with external and internal auditors in support of their requirements.
