Director of Business Development and Employer Relations Full-time Job

The American University of Ras Al Khaimah invites applications for the position of Director of Business Development and Employer Relations, with a start date of July 2024. The Director of Business Development and Employer Relations (DBDER) supports the university's business development initiatives and develops collaborative relationships with employers of AURAK graduates and employers offering internships to AURAK students. Further, the position of DBDER includes leadership of the university's Community Engagement Strategy. Reporting to the Associate Provost for Research and Community Service, the Director is expected to develop productive relationships with business entities and the industry and create opportunities for business development. The Director collaborates with the Associate Provost for Enrollment Management, actively seeking opportunities to promote AURAK amongst the community, expanding enrollments through employer partnerships and scholarships, and leading fundraising efforts. The Director is also expected to collaborate with Deans, Department Chairs, faculty, administrators, and the Office of Student Life to facilitate the development and execution of projects and services involving external partners in the government and for-profit and non-profit sectors.

Qualifications For The Position

Master’s degree;

Project management training;

At least 3 years’ experience in a similar position, preferably in a university following the American model of higher education;

Fluency in both English and Arabic.
