Role Responsibilities;

Establishing sales standards and best practices for a diverse portfolio of international ports

Oversees monitoring of the commercial performance of existing ports, compares results against benchmarks and KPIs. Initiates corrective action where required.

Oversees monitoring of pricing, market share development and commercial performance of competitors

Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty

Provide regular reports and updates on commercial performance, market trends, and customer feedback to senior leadership

Negotiate and finalize commercial agreements, contracts, and pricing terms with a diverse portfolio of international customers

Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify threats and opportunities and develop strategies to capitalize on them

Establish sales standards and best practices for a diverse portfolio of international ports

Guiding local ports for execution of marketing initiatives at local level

Lead the daily management of the Business Development opportunities across all International Abu Dhabi Ports business units.

Manages, coaches and develops direct or indirect (dotted line) reports.

Works together with Human Resources on recruitment and organizational restructuring efforts as required.

Required Qualifications;

Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field. Masters is preferred

Minimum of 17 years of experience in commercial roles, with a focus on Ports, Logistics and Shipping

Experience in the Middle East, Africa and Southeast Asia / India is a must

Relevant educational background in engineering, business, supply chain management, or a related field

Success Profile;

Prior experience in overseeing commercial aspects of a portfolio of International Ports at all stages (before development and during operational stage)

Excellent interpersonal skills; the ability to meet directly with customers and represent the company in a professional, competent manner.

Excellent negotiation skills & the ability to build relationships with external parties

Proven ability in leading sales, marketing and operations teams.

Excellent Ports market knowledge and deep understanding of investors insights

Proficient Analytical and Strategic Planning skills

A data-based approach and analytical skills are a must

Imaginative and creative problem solver with a knack for recognizing great opportunities for cooperation

Excellent communication, negotiation, and reporting skills
