Your day to day
Reliable hardware and seamless software are at the heart of every day-to-day IHG experience. To keep things running smoothly, we're searching for a proactive and passionate Room Service order taker.
Every day is different, but you'll mostly be:
Take guest in-room dining orders, communicate special requests to the kitchen, and coordinate deliver of orders according to Voco standards.
Answer telephone using courteous, efficient telephone etiquette while obtaining all information necessary to process the guest's order
Communicate guest orders including any special needs or requests to the kitchen using the hotel's point-of-sales system; check completed kitchen orders with the guest's original order.
Making sure the food pickups from the kitchen are done on timely manner, proper temperature and a complete food is delivered on time.
Coordinate amenity delivery by ensuring that all requests are received, filled, ordered from kitchen and delivered in a prompt and accurate.
Any special amenities or any VIPs arrivals to coordinate with the team accordingly.
Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer food and beverage suggestions.
Respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests from the guests.
If the guest requests are for other departments like Front office, Housekeeping or Engineering related, communicate immediately with the concerned departments to acknowledge the guests request.
Proper food and beverage menu knowledge, including offerings from other restaurants as well.
Proper knowledge of Food and Beverage offerings and restaurants timing at the hotel in case of guest queries.
Engage with guests using guests name in proper and appropriate manner.
Aware of food and beverage preferences of regular and VIP guests including their allergies if any.
Always answer the calls with smile, following proper telephone ethics.
