Job Details

Provide legal support to the organization

Support the GC and all members of the Legal & Compliance Department in their daily

tasks, learn from them, and develop own fields of expertise

Assist the members of the Legal & Compliance Department in implementing transactions

Evaluate and provide quality legal advice at the highest level on all matters associated with current operations under the supervision of the GC (and other members of the Legal & Compliance Department, where instructed):-

Draft, review and negotiate confidentiality agreements, engagement letters,

memorandums of understanding, term sheets and other simple agreements, with supervision

Liaise with regulatory authorities and ministerial bodies

Technical ability in drafting and reviewing correspondence, constitutional documents and commercial contracts in Arabic

Establish SPVs and commercial companies within the UAE, Free Zones and abroad. Provide preliminary commercial legal advice on all matters pertaining to UAE laws and regulations; conduct legal research

Coordinate external legal support

Coordinate the involvement of external legal counsel for selected transactions

Build and maintain relationships with external legal counsel and the panel of preferred advisors

Governance

May work with the GC and Corporate Secretary to provide corporate secretarial support,

including attending committee meetings, taking minutes and following up on action points if required

Provide support on corporate governance and compliance matters

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Law or related field

2-4 years of experience in a law firm or corporate legal department

Strong knowledge and understanding of UAE laws and regulations

Some in-house corporate or investments exposure is an advantage

Fluent in English and Arabic
