Key responsibilities:

As our Crewing Officer, you are responsible for ensuring the timely deployment of qualified and competent crew members. This includes managing crew assignments, coordinating crew changes, and maintaining compliance with industry regulations and company policies. Detailed responsibilities are as follows:

Monitor Training Plan for all seafarers (officers & crew).

Track all STCW training requirements and validity ensuring courses do not expire during term of employment contract.

Track all ZMI documents related to all Crew and ensure to comply with ZMI SHEQ policies.

Reviewing and verifying mobilization Invoices from agencies ensuring accuracy prior to approval process for payment.

Open Personnel Training Matrix for all new joining staff.

Ensures that all training required in terms of ISM is completed timeously.

Prepare and monitor Budget for all Offshore staff.

Ensures that all training required in terms of ISM is completed timeously.

Check local and client requirement training for every new joining crew member by following up with Training Coordinator on time.

Check training requirements following up with Training Coordinator of all returning crew members.

Ensure to book required training courses to commence the first working day after arrival of the crew member.

Ensure each joining crew member receives a training schedule on arrival.

Ensure transport is arranged for conveying staff to training courses and visa medicals.

Where applicable, apply for Travel cards and Security Passes as soon as crew members arrive.

Provide MSI’s with all relevant data for booking client interviews.

Arrange and schedule Client Inductions timeously.

Ensure all staff joining ships have completed all the required training before embarking.

Maintains detailed Master List and a daily status report detailing training completed, underway and planned with complete dates.

Liaise with Training Coordinator to coordinate availability dates for crew requiring additional training so as to coincide with port calls and not to delay sailing.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or any relevant degree.

Minimum 2 years' experience Marine Industry.

Have sound Interpersonal skills.

Ability to convey information in simple and effective manner.

Ability to perform tasks independents, without assistance.

Ability to maintain acceptable and punctual attendance and work time behavior.
