Consultant Physician Pediatric Neurology Full-time Job

We are looking for a compassionate physician to provide primary care for patients suffering from injuries and common illnesses. Pediatric neurologists with formal training in Pediatric epilepsy are invited to apply to this position and help in the establishment, and running of the pediatric epilepsy service at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City. Other subspecialty areas such as Pediatric neuromuscular disease are also welcome to apply.

This is a full-time position with the coverage of a busy outpatient service, inpatient consultation service providing consultations to in intensive care unit, PICU, inpatient pediatric ward, and emergency room consultations.

Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City has a pediatric residency program; rotating pediatric residents are supervised by pediatric neurologist during their Pediatric Neurology rotation. Participation in academic activity, didactic teaching, and clinical teaching is strongly encouraged.The physician's responsibilities include diagnosing and treating injuries, illnesses, and disorders, prescribing medications, making recommendations on lifestyle changes, and answering patients' questions. A physician may work in one or more areas of specialization, such as anesthesiology, family and general medicine, internal medicine, and pediatrics.

To be a successful physician, you should be kind and compassionate towards your patients, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You should be knowledgeable, detail oriented, and have good problem-solving skills.
