Job Details

The Compliance Data team is responsible for delivering the data requirements of the different compliance units. The team is also responsible for ensuring the data consumed by compliance systems and end users is complete and accurate. The compliance senior data analyst is responsible for the delivery of the data and BI requirements of the compliance units and systems. The senior data analyst will be responsible for the following activities.

Provide oversight and guidance for compliance data analysts in the team.

Prioritize data requirements and delivery based on the assessment of the needs of end users and regulatory commitments.

Work closely with the screening and transaction monitoring teams to deliver the necessary data required to achieve data driven tuning and decision making.

Represent compliance data team in compliance systems projects forums to ensure assessment of data requirements and changes.

Work with end users to understand functional data requirements and translate them to reports and dashboards deliverables.

Work on data analysis required to address problems and opportunities highlighted by senior management and prepare data in a format that can be presented to senior management stakeholders.

Regular review of internal processes used by the team to maintain production incidents, demand, data, and reports repository.

Analyse existing use of legacy reporting platforms to plan for migration to new reporting platforms.

Design of BI solutions to cater for the data requirements for the operational and analytical teams.

Coordinate with technology teams for delivering data and BI requirements.

Testing IT and internally built dashboards and reports to ensure data quality and alignment with the requirements.

Build and maintain data glossary and reports repository for compliance.

Support existing reports and dashboards and work with the technology team in cases of issues and gaps.

Build plans to promote the use of self-service analysis and provide end users with training on BI tools.

Duties And Responsibilities

Regular review of processes and tools used by the compliance data team

Conducting requirement gathering meetings and workshops

Documentation of requirements in the form of BRDs and user stories

Reviewing requirements with stakeholders

Explain end users’ requirements to technology teams.

Ensure solutions are aligned with requirements and highlighting gaps

Translate requirements into dashboards and reports.

Guide users to existing reports and dashboards when available.

Training of users on the use of reports and dashboards

Validating the data output of reports and dashboards

Publishing dashboards with the support of technology teams

Support compliance MIS team in delivering regulatory reports

Identify data points and KPIs based on understanding of business processes.

Identify source of required data

Documenting the data requirements

Support technology team to deliver the required data points.

Testing the IT delivery to ensure data quality and alignment with requirements
