Your new role, what's involved?
Lead the electrical design process for healthcare projects from concept through construction, ensuring compliance with international standards and best practices.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, mechanical engineers, and healthcare specialists, to integrate electrical systems seamlessly into overall project designs.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to meet client requirements and project objectives.
Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities to facilitate the smooth execution of projects and obtain necessary approvals.
Conduct regular site visits and inspections to oversee the implementation of electrical designs and resolve any technical issues that may arise during construction.
Develop comprehensive electrical designs for healthcare facilities, including power distribution, lighting, emergency systems, and medical equipment integration.
Perform load calculations, voltage drop analysis, and short circuit studies to ensure the reliability and efficiency of electrical systems.
Utilize industry-leading software tools, such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and ETAP, to produce detailed design drawings and specifications.
Conduct thorough reviews of design documents and drawings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.
Implement quality control measures throughout the design process to mitigate risks and ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.
Stay updated on advancements in electrical engineering technology and healthcare industry trends to incorporate innovative solutions into project designs.
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
Minimum 12_+ of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on healthcare projects.
Proven track record of successfully leading electrical design efforts for complex projects, preferably within the healthcare sector.
In-depth knowledge of international standards and regulations governing electrical systems in healthcare facilities, such as NFPA 99, IEC 60364, and NEC.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, ETAP, and other relevant software tools.
Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results on time and within budget.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership abilities, with a demonstrated capacity to build and maintain positive relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
