IT Security Administrator Full-time Job

Purpose & Responsibilities

The IT Security Administrator is responsible for maintaining the security and integrity of the AURAK's information systems. This role involves implementing security measures, monitoring system activity, conducting regular security assessments, and responding to security incidents. The IT Security Administrator should work closely with other ICT Officer and the SOC team to identify and address potential vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with security policies and regulations.

Minimum Qualification and Education

Academic

Essential: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

Professional/Vocational

Essential: Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) or CompTIA Security+

Desirable: Advanced certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) are highly desirable.

Required Knowledge And Skills

Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and security architectures.

Proficiency in security tools and technologies.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex security issues and develop effective solutions.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and regulations (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA).

Attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
