As a professional in your role, your responsibilities and essential job functions will include but are not limited to:

Answering incoming calls promptly and professionally, addressing guest inquiries and requests in a courteous manner.

Transferring calls to the appropriate department or individual, ensuring timely and accurate communication.

Taking and delivering messages accurately to the intended recipient.

Providing information to guests about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions.

Assisting guests with making room reservations and processing room service orders.

Handling wake-up call requests and ensuring they are executed on time.

Addressing guest complaints or concerns over the phone and escalating issues to management when necessary.

Maintaining a log of all incoming and outgoing calls for reference and record-keeping purposes.

Adhering to hotel policies and procedures regarding telephone operations and guest interactions.

Ideally, you should possess some or all the following qualifications and experience:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in customer service or hospitality is a plus.

Previous experience as a telephone operator or in a customer service role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with pleasant and clear telephone manner.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with guests and colleagues.

Proficiency in using telephone systems, switchboards, and other communication equipment.

Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Attention to detail and accuracy in handling messages and guest information.

Problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve guest issues or complaints calmly and efficiently.

Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the hotel's operation.
