Key Responsibilities of the Telephone Operator:
Answers incoming calls.
Directs call to guest rooms, staff, or departments through the switchboard.
Places outgoing calls
Receives guest messages and deliver the same to the guest.
Logs all wake-up call requests and performs wake-up call services.
Provides information about hotel services to guests.
Understand the telephone operator board.
Provides paging services for hotel guests and employees.
Experience in handling Room Service calls is a plus.
Requirements of the Telephone Operator:
Experience in guest relations beneficial but not essential
Hands-on approach with a can-do work style
Commitment to delivering exceptional guest service with a passion for the hospitality industry
Ability to find creative solutions taking ownership for duties and tasks assigned
Personal integrity, with the ability to work in an environment that demands excellence
Experience of working with IT systems on various platforms
Strong communication skills
