Key Accountabilities:

Air Power Systems Development:

Design from first principles axial compressors, centrifugal compressors, axial or radial turbines.

Perform detail design and CFD analysis using best practices.

Write engineering memo’s, work packages and detailed engineering reports for components, systems and manufacturing processes.

Undertake design and support work throughout the life-cycle of the system under development, for all phases of conceptual design, preliminary design, detail design and development, manufacture, production, end-use support and phase-out/disposal

Perform precise engineering calculations using theoretical methods as well as computational simulations

Project Management:

Work with suppliers to produce high precision and quality designed components within the schedule of the project.

Innovation and Technology Advancement:

Revise designs based on the latest technology in manufacturing and material science.

Optimization of designed parts for manufacturability using innovative approaches to design

Collaboration and Communication:

Mentor and coach lower level engineers in related disciplines.

Compliance and Documentation:

Establish test specifications and procedures to ensure that all design requirements are met
