Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain a cohesive and compelling brand identity across all properties, ensuring consistency in design, aesthetics, and overall guest experience.

Lead and oversee the design process for new hotel developments and renovations, ensuring all projects align with the brand's luxury standards and strategic objectives.

Collaborate with architects, interior designers, and contractors to ensure that the architectural elements of the properties reflect the brand's values and deliver a seamless luxury experience.

Provide expert input on hotel space planning through detailed comments and sketches, ensuring optimal use of space and adherence to design standards.

Lead the design direction for all Heart of House areas within the hotel. Develop and refine sketches, CAD layouts, and specifications to ensure these spaces meet established Design Standards and functional requirements.

Establish, coordinate, and continually update area programs throughout the project lifecycle to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.

Develop Desktop Reviews and Property Improvement Plans for potential projects. Create conceptual sketch designs to evaluate the feasibility and viability of these projects, providing clear assessments and recommendations.

Stay abreast of industry trends, design innovations, and market dynamics to continuously evolve the brand’s design strategy and maintain its competitive edge.

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and development, to integrate design principles that enhance brand positioning and guest satisfaction.

Implement rigorous quality control measures to ensure all design and architectural elements meet the highest standards of luxury and craftsmanship.

Oversee budget allocation for design and architectural projects, ensuring financial efficiency without compromising on quality and brand standards.

Create and enforce comprehensive brand design guidelines to ensure uniformity and excellence across all properties and marketing materials.

Manage relationships with external vendors, designers, and architectural firms, negotiating contracts and ensuring deliverables meet brand expectations.

Develop and monitor key performance indicators related to design projects, reporting on progress, challenges, and outcomes to senior management.

Travel to our hotel destinations to conduct on-site evaluations, coordinate with local teams, and ensure design implementations align with project specifications and standards.

About You

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, or other relevant field

Minimum 8 – 10 years’ experience in design and architecture, with a significant portion of that time spent in the luxury hospitality sector.

Proven track record of successful project management from concept to completion.

Deep understanding of the luxury market and experience in creating and maintaining high-end brand aesthetics and guest experiences in a hospitality context.

Strong leadership skills with experience managing design teams, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and leading large-scale projects. Proven ability to inspire and guide creative professionals.

Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic design initiatives that align with business goals and enhance brand positioning.

Experience working with various stakeholders, including executives, architects, designers, contractors, and external partners, to ensure cohesive and effective design outcomes.
