The key duties of a Sales Manager will include:
Effectively manage existing accounts for the hotels. This involves potential needs analysis, determining strategies and revenue targets, relationship building, brick walling activities, monitoring performance, contracting and rate negotiation.
Co-ordinate and attend specific industry events and trade shows, representing the hotels and keep a high profile in the marketplace.
Co-ordinate sales blitzes to secure business and awareness of Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel & Spa.
Develop new business wherever possible from all the market segments and sources of business.
Provide feedback and explain variances to the DOSM on all sales-related activities, including competitors and recommend what action should be taken to remedy significant variances.
Follow up with clients who have used facilities before/have cancelled, to generate bookings
Manage systems used to develop sales strategies/activities: Opera, Salesforce, JBI, Delphi, Ideas
Work with Marketing Manager to develop and manage co-marketing and marketing contributions with main B2B partner, in line with the budget and purchase timing of each market
Represent the hotel at road shows, trade fairs and other events
Represent the sales function and the needs of the hotel internally, by establishing excellent working relationships with all hotel departments.
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
Degree or Equivalent – Essential
Minimum 3 years of proactive sales experience with proven document – Essential
Experience in a 5-star luxury hotel within an international environment
Word-processing skills, preferably with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint – Essential
Opera/Delphi PMS experience
Write clear and understandable memos and reports
