Requirements of the Housekeeping Attendant:

Experience in housekeeping

Ability to adapt to changing service environments

Pro-active with a hands-on approach

Passion for the hospitality industry

Ability to manage work ensuring that tasks assigned are delivered

Ability to find creative solutions, offering recommendations

Personal integrity, with the ability to work in an environment that demands excellence

Strong communication and listening skills

Ability to work collaboratively at all levels within the department

An open and positive personality

Ability to handle challenging priorities and assignments

Ability to work on time and when scheduled.

Ability to stand on feet up to 7 hours a day and work in a fast-paced environment.

Physically able to move/lift, large, heavy objects such as: linen carts/bags of linen.

Physically able to operate cleaning equipment such as: vacuum, mops, spray bottles, scrubbing machine, Etc.

Ability to learn, follow and enforce standards for cleanliness in guest rooms and public areas.

Ability to follow all safety procedures/standards and able to recognize and act in emergency situation.

Able to use appropriate PPE that may be required when performing work duties which may have the potential of risk to health or safety.
