Key Responsibilities

Inventory Planning and Assortment Management:

Collaborate with Merchandise Managers to determine optimal stock levels and assortment mix based on sales trends, customer preferences, and market insights.

Assist in creating purchase orders to replenish inventory while avoiding overstock and stockout situations.

Regularly review stock levels and adjust purchase orders as necessary to maintain balanced inventory assortments.

Sales Analysis And Reporting

Analyze sales data to identify high-performing products and slow-moving items.

Generate regular sales reports, sell-through analysis, and inventory movement reports for management review.

Purchase Coordination

Coordinate purchase orders, liaising with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.

Verify order quantities, pricing, and product details in line with established guidelines.

Supplier and Vendor Management:

Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and partners.

Communicate effectively to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to orders, deliveries, or product quality.

Stock Optimization

Assist in the development and execution of strategies to optimize stock levels, reduce excess inventory, and maximize sell-through rates.

Support markdown planning and promotions to optimize inventory turnover.

Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with Merchandise Managers, Sales, and Operations teams to align purchasing efforts with company goals and initiatives.

Communicate effectively to ensure clear expectations and timely execution of purchase orders.

Process Improvement

Identify opportunities for process enhancements and efficiencies within the purchasing and inventory management functions.

Participate in discussions and initiatives aimed at improving overall merchandise operations.

What You’ll Need To Succeed

Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

X+ years of experience in purchasing, inventory management, or merchandising within the fashion or retail industry.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, for data analysis and reporting.

A keen sense of fashion trends and customer preferences.

Adaptability to a fast-paced and evolving work environment.
