Job Details

Key Accountabilities:

Establish long-term strategies for IMUs within the Navigation department.

Select appropriate inertial sensors for IMU development, considering cost, performance, and availability.

Develop IMU product specifications and analyze performance data to meet company requirements.

Lead the design and development of IMUs for local development efforts.

Manage IMU development processes and update as necessary.

Design, develop, and maintain IMU calibration methods, techniques, and algorithms.

Liaise with IMU suppliers to resolve technical and financial issues.

Support production teams during integration and performance testing.

Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding ongoing challenges and solutions.

Stay abreast of advancements in sensor fusion and IMU techniques.

Mentor and coach the IMU Design team to drive performance and development.

Experience & Education Qualifications:

Minimum 12 years of specialist exposure in IMU design, development, and testing.

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar field.

Preferred 15+ years of specialist exposure in IMU design, development, and testing.

Master’s degree in relevant field preferred.

Technical knowledge of IMU performance and product development methods.

Understanding of IMU manufacturing processes and troubleshooting skills.
