Responsibilities
Knowledge of OEM machine controllers (FANUC, Mazak Control, etc.)
Perform mechanical repairs (and rebuild) on all machines
Pull and replace machine linear guides and ball screws
Support with scheduling PM, reading report, diagrams, and drawings
Working knowledge of tool Probing function for CNC Mill Machines
Able to work with complex NC machine up to & including 5 Axis
Perform machine leveling and alignment on all machines
Identify and replace parts as necessary
Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machine tool equipment and controls
Use machine tool manuals, technical documents, and internal and vendor resources to research machine issues
Coordinate with external suppliers and maintenance companies to ensure timely and accurate completion of work
Work-based on a sense of urgency with machine-down conditions
In conjunction with the production team, will support continuous improvement of the development of PM instructions and schedules to prevent failures
Troubleshoot hydraulics, electronics, and software, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
Requires working knowledge and skills to perform a defined set of analytical and operational processes
Applies experience and skills to complete assigned work
Works with limited degree of supervision
Understands how the team integrates with others to accomplish the team objectives
Able to communicate with the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) for troubleshooting and all maintenance activities
Solid understanding of the technical features of CNC machines controls, electrical and mechanical systems
Perform routine and preventive maintenance
Perform unscheduled maintenance and emergency repairs even after hours in a timely manner
Perform installation and upgrades to equipment in addition to other special projects as needed to increase machine efficiency and company productivity
Maintain inventory of maintenance materials and supplies to assure down time is minimized due to lack of parts
Performs a wide variety of skilled mechanic duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and modify mechanical equipment
Perform electrical/mechanical maintenance/repair and trouble-shooting tasks on Tuboscope inspection systems (including TruSpec, EndSonic, Truscope A/S unit, Cleaning Machine etc.), and Calibration/Repair of inspection equipment/tools etc. including machine-shop instruments/gauges etc. and issue certificates
Uses a wide variety of hand, power, and machine tools to perform assignments
Complete and document maintenance activities associated with predictive and corrective maintenance activities in a computerized maintenance database
Conduct regular inspections of the facilities to detect and resolve problems
Any task assigned by line manager or General manager
Adhere to all internal and external HSE policies and procedures provided by local authorities and NOV, report all unsafe and or hazardous acts or conditions to the HSE department
Experience/Education/Skill-set Required
Essential:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical and/or Electrical)
Minimum 5 years of CNC Machine Maintenance Shop experience in the following:
Repairs
Programming/Reprogramming
Preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
Perform mechanical repairs (rebuild) on machines
Must be able to troubleshoot hydraulics, electrical, pneumatic and mechanical systems
Strong knowledge in facilities machines and associated equipment
Support in schedule PM
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Able to demonstrate good problem-solving and analytical Skills.
