Responsibilities:
Lead the delivery of a PMC job as a core function, ensuring that it is delivered to the satisfaction of the client, within budget and to the agreed timeframe.
Lead a team of supervision staff as a potential secondary role, providing guidance and support to ensure that projects are delivered to the highest standard.
Develop project plans and schedules, identifying resource requirements and ensuring that they are met.
Manage project budgets, ensuring that all costs are accurately recorded and tracked.
Monitor project progress, identifying and addressing any issues or risks that arise.
Provide regular project updates to clients, ensuring that they are fully informed of project progress.
Ensure that projects are delivered in compliance with local regulations and client requirements.
Use local knowledge of authority requirements to support project delivery.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring that their needs are understood and met.
Provide leadership and guidance to the project team, motivating them to achieve project objectives.
Manage contractors to ensure compliance with project requirements and expectations.
Manage project documentation, including drafting and reviewing contracts and related documents.
Interpret and understand contractual requirements, including payment terms, change orders, and variations.
Negotiate contracts and resolve disputes.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
Ability to become a Registered Engineer/Architect in the UAE
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 12 years' experience in project management consultancy, with a proven track record of managing large, complex projects.
Experience in leading a team is highly desirable.
Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address issues and risks.
Experience in contract management and administration, including familiarity with FIDIC contracts.
Ability to interpret and understand contractual requirements, including payment terms, change orders, and variations.
Experience in negotiating contracts and resolving disputes.
Familiarity with the UAE legal system and regulations related to contract management is highly desirable.
Experience working in Abu Dhabi is essential.
Relevant qualifications such as PMP, CIOB, RICS, or a certificate in project management are preferred.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate project teams.
Experience in managing contractors to ensure compliance with project requirements and expectations.
