Work with senior researchers to define requirements and define the preferred hybrid electric architecture and perform simulations using OpalRT

Procure components and assemble prototype architecture for testing.

Define and procure test bench infrastructure. Develop and execute test plans.

Develop personal knowledge and skills related to the latest techniques and applications relevant to electrified propulsion technology.

Collect and reduce test data, review, and write technical reports.

Prepare and write papers for submission to peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings.

Execute research activities on schedule and with conformity to established regulations (health, safety, regulations, ethics)

Develop and implement action plans to address issues associated with power electronics as they arise on programs.


Experience in aviation electrical power engineering.

Experience with high voltage and high-power converters/inverters.

Working knowledge of EMI (CM an DM), transformers, and semiconductor switches and different PWM schemes

Simulation experience with OpalRT. AMESim a plus.

Working knowledge and design experience with 3-phase motor/generator systems

Strong Electrical circuit design experience and layout knowledge

Hands on experience working in a lab environment.

Strong oral and written communication skills

Fluency in English is required. Arabic is considered a plus.
