echnical Role and Responsibilities:
Core role purpose of developing features and bug fixes in Java inside the context of a project to enhance an existing product.
Creates and documents detailed designs for simple software applications or components and produces software builds from software source code.
Applies agreed modelling techniques, standards, patterns and tools.
Designs, codes, verifies, tests, documents, amends and re-factors moderately complex programs/scripts.
Contribution to Phase 2 project in the role of scrum team member.
Identifies issues related to software development activities and Proposes practical solutions to resolve issues.
Produces software builds from software source code.
Technical Experience and Expertise:
Strong core Java 8+ knowledge and development expertise (ideally Java 17+).
Service oriented technologies with Spring Boot, REST, JSON.
SQL and relational database experience, ideally with MSSql Server & TSql
DevOps best practices using tools like JIRA, JUnit, GitLab, SonarQube, Artifactory, Docker, Prometheus.
Cloud - either AWS or Azure exposure and understanding of how it can be utilised in a hybrid environment.
5-7 years' experience in end to end product/application development.
