Head of Data Engineering Full-time Job

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and mentor a team of skilled data engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.

Develop and implement robust data engineering strategies, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and technologies.

Architect, design, and optimize data pipelines, ensuring the efficient and reliable processing of large datasets.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and translate them into data engineering solutions.

Implement best practices for data governance, data quality, and data security.

Stay updated with emerging technologies and trends in data engineering, recommending suitable tools and frameworks for adoption.

Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to enable advanced analytics and machine learning initiatives.

Manage relationships with key stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status and outcomes.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.

Proven experience (10+ years) in data engineering roles, with a focus on designing and building scalable data solutions.

Strong expertise in data warehousing, ETL processes, and data integration.

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.

Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, or Flink.

Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).

Exceptional leadership and team management skills.

Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
