Responsibilities

Principal duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following, which indicates the general nature of work expected:

Attends to repairs and maintenance of all types of mechanical equipment such as heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning equipment, pumps, water treatment plant, etc.

Carry out electric arc and oxy-acetylene welding.

Attending to pipe repairs or fitting work including minor plumbing jobs.

Ensuring that the supplied uniform is clean and in good repair. Always maintain a clean and tidy appearance before entering a guest room or public area.

Ensuring that the plant room, workshop, and related areas are kept clean and tidy condition.

Observing prescribed safety standards. Helping maintain safe conditions for self and others. Performing related duties and special projects as assigned.

Interacts with other Departments when necessary to provide additional or specialized services for functions, promotions, and festivities.

Skills & Requirements

Diploma or apprenticeship in Mechanical or Electrical

Previous resort experience in the same role, within a luxury hospitality environment is preferred

Ability to solve engineering problems using appropriate theoretical and practical engineering principles.
