An opportunity has arisen for a Demi Chef De Partie to join the Culinary Department in Jumeirah Beach Front Properties. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

• Take orders from the Chef de Partie and carry them out in the correct manner. Follow the instructions and recommendations from the immediate superiors to complete the daily tasks

• Write daily wine, dry store, food requisitions and kitchen transfers on the appropriate forms for the approval of Executive Chef/Executive Sous Chef to achieve the high stock rotation desired in their section following instructions from the Chef De Partie

• Work to the specifications received by the Chef de Partie regarding portion size, quantity and quality as laid down in the recipe index

• Ensure the highest standards and consistent quality in the daily preparation and keep up to date with the new products, recipes, and preparation techniques

• Organize shifting in the section associated with mis-en-place production and its service with the Chef de Partie

• Follow food safety and hygiene procedures and regulations

• Collaborate with other members of the kitchen team to ensure efficient and effective service

• Responsible for completing the daily checklist regarding mise-en-place and food storage

• Ensures that the designated section, equipment, and utensils are always kept clean and tidy in adherence to the standards required by the restaurant

• Check the main information board regarding changes in any Banquets or other information regarding the organization

• Attend daily meetings with the Chef de Cuisine and other meetings as requested by the Executive Chef/Executive Sous Chef

• Consult and check on daily requirements, functions and last-minute events and liaise with the team accordingly

• Pass all information to the next shift about functions

About You:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• Diploma or certification from an accredited Culinary School

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the kitchen. Completed kitchen apprentice or chefs training courses for at least one year

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a five-star international chain hotel

• Demonstrate passion for quality and cooking

• Sound knowledge about all kinds of cooking techniques and methods

• Hygiene, health, and safety know how

• Adaptability and appreciation of cultural diversity

• Team Player with speed, accuracy, and attention to detail

• Reliable, Honest and Sincere showing high level of energy

• Strong customer service orientation
