Al Masaood family is considered to be one of the oldest families of Abu Dhabi. The founder of the familys long history, The Late Masaood Bin Salem Al Muhairbi (May Allah have mercy on him) first became successful in the pearl trade 150 years ago when it was one of the most important economic activities.In the 1950s this ancient trade declined rapidly as many challenges arose. This pushed The Late Mohammed Bin Masaood (May Allah have mercy on him) to develop a trading business which started the journey of Al Masaood family from a small shop to many companies with diverse activities that grew and progressed under the name of Al Masaood Group.Al Masaood Group is managed by His Excellency Abdulla Bin Mohammed Al Masaood, the current Chairman of the Group, Rahma Bin Mohammed Al Masaood and his sons, as well as the sons of The Late Ahmed Bin Mohammed Al Masaood (May Allah have mercy on him). Together they have developed the group to make it one of the most successful and diverse trading groups in the region.
