Civil Inspector Full-time Job

Key accountabilities for this position include but are not limited to:

Technical Delivery

Supervises/carries out field surveys as per project requirements and deliver in accordance with company/client requirements and guidelines.

Ability to manage multiple tasks within a dynamic work environment.

Ability to oversee and manage survey aspects of site construction activities.

Provide support to ensure the smooth execution of projects.

Perform duties in accordance with the company’s highest quality expectations, health and safety policies and procedures.

Liaise with other agencies (Consultants/Contractors) to coordinate the survey work.

Prepare neat sketches to support the fieldwork.

Preserve all the survey information (field books, sketches & calculations).

Perform any other essential duties that the immediate superior may assign from time to time.

Collaboration and working as part of a team

Work in conjunction with engineers to solve project design problems, performing basic design calculations as required.

Conduct technical, feasibility studies and site investigations

Liaison with teams working remotely from other parts of the world to facilitate the completion of tasks and projects.

Good communicator.

Client Service Management

Internal and external client liaison

Ability to build and maintain lasting and positive relationships

Experience in utility diversions and management

Follow safe work practices and adhere to company guidelines and policies for planning and executing work in a safe manner.

Complete all work in line with Stantec Core Values and in accordance with the Stantec Quality Systems and Project Quality Procedures.

Design for safety, i.e. Construction Design Management.

Other duties as requested from time to time by the Assistant Resident Engineer.

Qualifications

f you have the following qualifications, we would love for you to be a part our diverse team:

Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent degree in Engineering from a recognized institute to the approval of the Engineer.

10 years of work experience

Experience working on projects associated with stormwater & drainage, flood alleviation, wastewater networks and water distribution networks. This will involve undertaking investigations, planning, designing, tendering, contract administration and construction monitoring.

Dubai Municipality approval an advantage
