To direct and coordinate the overall activities of the Engineering Department.
To maintain regular inventories of the technical equipment.
Ensure quality is adhered to in all aspects of the job, by the Engineering team.
Ensure correct maintenance of all equipment in conjunction with the other user departments & stay abreast with technological advances in surveillance & safety of the equipment.
Ensure that the company has a technological advantage by constant upgradation of the equipment.
Identify and implement new ideas, technologies, or processes to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and/or cost-savings.
To comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
Motivate and develop staff to ensure smooth functioning of the department.
Ensure that the team is trained in all safety provisions.
Implements preventive maintenance and repair schedules for all hotel complex, machinery, equipment and other facilities.
Develops and implements cost reduction, work simplification methods and techniques and improvement programmes
Maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical and others & General maintenance of the building
Operation trouble shooting.
Prepares and/or recommends requisitioning/ordering pertaining to maintenance of equipment, materials and supplies.
Participates in the execution of new projects including planning and costing.
Participates in the Engineering budget and business plan preparation.
Holds regular communication meetings with the staff, Director of Engineering and other departments.
Ensures the implementation of all instructions given by the Management / Director of Engineering
Conducts routine inspections of the entire building including mechanical areas.
Supervises the implementation of all maintenance contracts.
To be fully in-charge of the fire and safety policies and procedure for the hotel, Carries out fire brigade duties as required
Initiates energy and water conservation plans, as per Accor’s environmental charter
Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources, the analysis and reporting of financial data.

Engineering level graduate or equivalent required.
Five years’ experience in the same field in hospitality.
Certified Facilities Manager, Project management, First Aid with CPR, Health and Safety etc.,
Very good knowledge in project management and roadmap planning
Business fluent English language skills (written and spoken)
Experience working in a distributed global teams environment
Good communication skills verbally and written
