Job Details

Providing expertise and technical advice for all work related to the Department of Archaeological Sites and Research, preparing special studies, and technical supervision of the processes of preparing, reviewing and updating regulations, policies, and work manuals for antiquities and developing archaeological sites with the aim of protecting them and preserving their value. Preparing archaeological and historical studies and research for various archaeological sites in accordance with the department’s plan, and contributing to planning to promote and manage archaeological sites. Preparing and reviewing research, books, reports, bulletins and periodicals on various archaeological sites and the results of excavation projects and archaeological surveys in coordination with the relevant organizational units. Preparing regulations, policies, and work manuals for antiquities and developing archaeological sites with the aim of protecting them and preserving their value. Inspecting and examining antiquities in transit through the country’s ports, and ensuring that periodic reports necessary to preserve these collectibles are submitted in accordance with the approved systems and requirements and in coordination with all concerned groups. Selecting the antiquities to be displayed in internal and external exhibitions according to the established procedures, in addition to inspecting and inspecting the antiquities seized through state ports or in the possession of individuals or institutions. Analyzing and evaluating studies, data, opinion questionnaire surveys, preparing the necessary reports, drawing meaningful archaeological conclusions and recommendations, presenting development proposals and standard comparisons for various archaeological sites and finds, and presenting the results and recommendations to those concerned. Communicating with government departments, bodies, institutions, experts, consultants, and international and local bodies specialized in antiquities and archaeological sites, with the aim of exchanging information, expertise, and common experiences, in addition to participating in preparing art exhibitions. Preparing and reviewing guides and manuals related to archaeological projects and working to update and develop them. Participation in local and regional workshops, seminars and conferences related to archaeological projects. Implementing all assigned tasks and responsibilities in accordance with the information security and confidentiality policy approved in the department and within the limits of the powers granted.Perform other job-related tasks and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in archeology, history or equivalent from an accredited university.6-8 years of relevant work experience.
