Job Details

Responsibilities:

Daily monitoring of the customer data platform (CDP) to inform regular reporting on key audience data, journeys, behaviour, conversion, and churn.

Assists in the creation of custom reports that examine the audience impact of key stories or event coverage.

Research core target audiences and trends as required for upcoming events or verticals of interest (eg, Cop, gaming in GCC)

Assists in the creation of data-led content analysis for newsroom teams, from understanding the impact of a series to assessing formats or story length.

Monitors the impact of incentives, events, activations, and content triggers for registered users.

Attends key stakeholder audience meetings - assisting with the preparation of the presentation or leading the session on behalf of HoA

Supports the Head of Audience and Analytics Manager, covering duties over periods of leave or increased workload.

Assists the social media team in identifying opportunities to engage with audiences directly and convert to followers or subscribers, raising potential stories to editors.

Assists in the development and testing of newsroom innovation and the creation of related workflow training guides.

Plays a core role in the organization of The National’s in-person outreach programme, managing the calendar and logistics of internal and external events.

Leads the organization and logistics for focus groups, digitally and in-person, and other targeted community access opportunities across the region and in the UK, US

Communicates regularly with the marketing team to support relevant audience growth initiatives.

Upholds and respects the editorial guidelines of The National, avoid circumstances in which the brand could be brought into disrepute and respects the custodianship of IMI and its constituents.

Requirements:

Hands-on experience with analytics tools, especially relating to web content and social media.

Comfortable with content management systems.

Able to produce professional presentations and present complex data in a clear and engaging way.

Fluency in written and spoken English, Arabic is an advantage

Proven digital and social media work experience.

Data analysis skills, preferably relating to digital content.

Marketing or journalism experience.

Strong technical and practical understanding of all digital and social media analytics

Works to own initiative as well as with multiple teams and senior stakeholders.

A creative thinker who can identify potential solutions to problems and has the drive to explore and innovate.

A strong communicator who can translate sometimes complex datasets into engaging presentations.
