Assistant Manager Group Accounting Full-time Job

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the month-end closing process for the Head Office entity.

· Prepare and oversee the consolidation of financial statements for the Group.

Support the Group Financial Controller in drafting of accounting memos on complex accounting issues and judgements.

· Act as the 1st point of contact for the external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process and ensure timely delivery of financial statements.

Liaise with the divisional finance teams to ensure reporting is provided in a timely manner and supporting on technical matters if required.

· Maintain a focus on strong internal controls and develop further the Group finance team’s processes to ensure consistent compliance with best practice.

Participate and support group transformation initiatives pertaining to process reengineering and technologies which have an impact on reporting.

Supporting the team in implementing the changes required to reporting due to the introduction of the UAE corporate tax regime.

Work closely with the Internal Audit, Financial Planning and Treasury departments by providing ad hoc reporting where required.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field

CA or CPA qualified, including continued professional development and learning.

A strong technical accountant with minimum 6-8 years of experience in Group Reporting, with the emphasis on having proven multi currency consolidation experience and excellent knowledge of IFRS.

Strong preference for a candidate with an audit background, with experience gained from a Big 4 firm who also has experience working in a similar role preferably in a family office/ large investment company / large Corporate.

Proficiency in financial software and reporting tools is required.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills alongside strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively.

Exceptional analytical skills, with meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to drive continuous improvement within the team.

Proactive and self-starting professional sought to take initiative, drive projects forward independently, and anticipate opportunities for improvement within a dynamic work environment.
