Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute strategic PR plans and campaigns for all FIVE’s verticals – hospitality, aviation, music, leadership, brand and internal communications - ensuring an explosion of brand awareness around the famed ‘Vibe at FIVE’
Work closely with the Director of Public Relations to oversee the implementation of approved PR plans and campaigns to elevate FIVE’s bold brand reputation and skyrocket revenue growth, and undertake additional duties as required
Develop and manage the PR budget, ensuring all activities are aligned with FIVE’s overall marketing strategy and financial objectives
Partner with cross-functional teams to identify, develop, and pitch stories that drive coverage in target media outlets and that are aligned with FIVE’s bold business goals
Build and maintain strong relationships with key media contacts, influencers, bloggers, stakeholders, and the public, leveraging these relationships to secure positive coverage and partnerships
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and execute newsworthy initiatives and events, ensuring that FIVE remains at the forefront of industry trends and developments
Conduct pre-interview briefings with the CEO, senior leaders and other FIVE Tribe Members to ensure effective messaging and preparation for media engagements
Efficiently manage crisis communications to protect FIVE’s reputation, by understanding and applying internal policies and procedures with respect to incidents and crisis response.
Create engaging and on-brand written content, including press releases, pitches, social media posts, media kits, and other brand collateral
Identify and evaluate new media opportunities, including emerging platforms and channels, and make recommendations for how FIVE can leverage these for maximum impact
Liaise effectively with operational FIVE Tribe Members and properties to provide support and information to ensure accurate delivery of FIVE’s brand promise
Organise site inspections for media partners, coordinate stay requests and experiences, and ensure results are achieved each time
Ideate and execute consumer-facing events such as press conferences, product launch events, and other promotional events, ensuring that the ‘Vibe at FIVE’ is communicated seamlessly at every touchpoint
Cultivate and enhance internal communications strategies, and continuously drive internal communications initiatives
Effectively draft speeches for senior leaders, schedule media interviews, and seek opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships, and advertising
With the support of the PR Executive, maintain accurate and up-to-date media databases, track media coverage results, and prepare PR reports to measure monthly success for FIVE
Maintain active memberships in industry bodies and associations to stay up to date with the latest trends and developments.
Develop market insight and monitor development and sentiment to identify emerging opportunities
Train and mentor junior PR Tribe Members, providing guidance and support as needed to ensure their ongoing development and success
Supervise the continued development of a growing in-house PR Tribe
Lead and organise to achieve project goals, ensuring everyone is working together efficiently towards success. Provide guidance, direction, and support to PR Tribe to create actionable plans that are aligned with FIVEs overall strategy.
Set clear goals and objectives for PR Tribe, ensuring that they are specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound. Monitor progress, track performance, and take corrective action when necessary to keep the team on track and focused on achieving their goals.
Be accountable for meeting deadlines and delivering results on time and within budget. Communicate progress to stakeholders and provide regular updates on project status.
Requirements
What We’re Looking For
Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Hospitality Management, or an equivalent field
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in creative copywriting and sub-editing
Portfolio of published content is required (please provide)
Experience in luxury, lifestyle, international travel, or the hotel industry is preferred
Proficiency in MS Office, MS Excel, PowerPoint and Social Media.
