Responsibilities
Organisation
Assist (and eventually lead) every component of the assignment process – client enquiries, proposals, contract negotiations, internal administration, research, inspections, market commentary, valuation inputs, modelling and finally report writing.
Create and maintain organised files for the entire process.
Maintain databases of tourism statistics, hotel supply and operating performance.
Maintain orderly file records of valuations, including computer files at all times.
Manage time effectively, being able to prioritise tasks in order to ensure deadlines are met.
Business Generation
Understand and be highly proficient in the use of all the office technology employed in undertaking valuations and preparing reports – particularly Microsoft Excel and Word.
Attend events to promote the department and Knight Frank amongst clients.
Have the ability to learn how to increase the range and quantity of instructions via business generation to ensure development of the department.
Client Care
Respond quickly to client enquiries.
Inform and justify the client about the inputs of the assignment.
Foster the professional image of Knight Frank at all times.
Be capable, articulate and concise in the preparation of reports.
Professional Standards
The capacity for accuracy, attention to detail, an orderly approach to work and numeracy.
Acquire and build a sound knowledge of the hospitality markets of the region.
Maintain confidentiality in respect of all work undertaken.
Comply with Knight Frank, RICS and IVS best practice procedures.
Team
Contribute to team dynamics and efficiency by being able to share workloads of multiple assignments and respond to delegated tasks.
Liaise with members of other departments.
Qualifications/Education
Professional Experience and Personal Skills Profile
Real estate or hospitality related degree.
Commercial/hospitality real estate work experience is preferable but not essential.
Particular Aptitudes/Skills Required
Relevant real estate degree from a reputable university.
Strong numeracy and data analysis skills are essential.
High level of proficiency with Excel.
The candidate should be passionate about the hospitality real estate sector with intent to remain in the industry long term.
Candidates with experience (academic or professional) in real estate development, hospitality advisory or hotel operations are preferred.
Well-developed report writing skills in professional English.
Strong team player with the ability to build relationships.
Flexible attitude towards travelling in the region.
